Recap: Act IV — Into the Office

Act IV was the shortest act and the hardest engineering: people. The recap, before the final stretch.

Info

  • AI Week, four times — four back-to-back week-long cohorts, nearly forty people, one room. Split by experience, not job title. Managers came as builders, bringing their own problems, and were some of the most influential people in the room. The first win was everyone’s own most tedious task. Every Friday a handover — a golden ticket and a wish list — so each cohort inherited the last one’s library. The friction was plumbing, not scepticism.
  • Walking backwards into work — the backtrack playbook in full: start from a baseline they already trust, enter two rungs below your frontier, demo in their environment, name what you left out, graduate on demand. Plus the cost: the rungs you skip come back as bugs.

The one-line version of Act IV: the frontier makes you sure; the stepped-back PoC makes them start; the handover makes it compound. Nobody has ever been converted by someone else’s frontier. Ask me how I know.
