Recap: Act I — The Before Times

Three posts in, and the prompt era is behind us. Before the story speeds up, the recap — and a clean place to join if you’re new here.

Act I was August to November 2025, and it looked like this:

Info

  • The all-caps era — I tried to control a model with bold capitals and threats. Emphasis is not a control system.
  • The naive library — two hundred numbered context files, token superstition, and zero measurements. Diligence, pointed the wrong way.
  • The first agents — prompts grew scripts, scripts grew a music-managing agent that still runs today, and a work project called yournamehere showed me exactly where the ceiling was.

The one-line version of Act I: I organised my inputs harder and harder because I couldn’t measure my outcomes. Two hundred files. Zero measurements. You’ve met this person before, possibly in a mirror.
